Step 1: Deal the cardsWar game is based on a single deck (52 cards) divided evenly into two small sets for both players.
Step 2: Flip the top cardEach player flips the top card at the same time.
The card with the higher value wins, and the winner takes both cards.
Cards are ranked with the ace as the highest and two as the lowest.

Step 3: Declare warIf you flip two cards of equal value, war begins.
Both players flip 3 cards from top.
The player whose last up card has the higher value wins all six cards.
If last cards are equal value again, another war begins.
TipThere is no winning strategy for War; the game is based on chance.
